From 1954 to 1975, the Ben Hai River served as the demarcation line between the Republic of Vietnam and Democratic Republic of Vietnam. To either side of the river was an area 5km wide known as the demilitarized zone (DMZ tour).
The DMZ itself areas to the South saw plenty of action and experienced a high military presence during the American War. The area just south of the DMZ was the scene of some of the bloodiest battles of the conflict.
However, the area it is still home to some of the most enteresting sighs Vietnam has to offer. As you head south from the DMZ, you reach the historic town of Hue, one of the most relaxed places you will find.
Morning: 6.00 Am.
Our guide and car will pick you up at your hotel in Hue city. Breakfast at the restaurant on the way, then transfer Ho Chi Minh trail.
You also have chance to meet Paco minority people in the Viet Nam Central. The last place of this day trip is Khe Sanh Combat Base.
Our guide and car take you back to the war sites including Frame of Church, Dong Ha Town, Hien Luong Bridge – Ben Hai River, Doc Mieu Base. Vinh Moc Tunnels, Museum Tunnels (Highlight)
Then the drive transfers you back to Hue around 6.00 pm. Tour ends at hotel in Hue.
