Rising Dragon Hotel Group – The Name Comes from a Legend

In 1010, during the Ly Dynasty, King Ly Thai To decided to move the capital. In the sky, as if predestined, he witnessed the appearance of a golden cloud shaped like a rising dragon.  As a result, he named this lovely area “Thang Long”, meaning Rising Dragon, and ordered the new capital to be established on this site.

A thousand years later, the name of this place changed several times, but in the minds of all Hanoians, Thang Long–Hanoi is still just as wonderful. As such our hotel’s name comes from this legend and we hope, just as with the meaning of fly up to the sky, Rising Dragon will get the peak of the flourishing of development.
